'BLIND BOX' & 'BLIND-BOXED SERIES'
INFORMATION

*What is a 'blind box'?
Blind boxes are so-called as the contents of the box cannot be seen until the box & any inner packaging is opened, as opposed to 'window boxes' that show the figure(s) within, like Nathan's 'Minitreehouse Series' for example.
As such, blind-boxed series are basically a lucky dip as the figure's identity remains a mystery until you open the boxes & sealed inner foil bag and/or other inner packaging yourself!

*What is a 'display case'?
A display case is a full, sealed box of blind box figures.
Referred to as a 'display' case as they can be used on display counters by retailers.

*What do the 'ratios' (numbers given on blind boxes below figures) for blind boxed figures mean?
The ratios are the average number of each design expected to be in a single display case- or for the rarer ('chase') figures, per carton.
Eg: A figure with a ratio of 1/15 means there should be one of these figures in every display case, and a figure with a ratio of 3/25 meaning there will most likely be three of this design in every display case.

*What if the ratio for is 1 from a higher number than the number of figures in a display case?
Figures in a series with 25figures p/case with a ratio of 1/50 or 1/100 for example indicates these are rare figures and that there is an average of only 1 in every 2, or 1 in every 4 display cases respectively.

*So does this mean I could get two or even three of the same design(s) in an order for mutliple blind boxes from the same series?!?
All efforts are made to avoid this happening and orders for multiple blind boxes from any series are all taken from random positions (usually in diagonal patterns) within the same case to reduce your chances of receiving any repeats/duplicates in blind boxed orders. This also applies to any successive blind box orders from the same series where possible, meaning you should not receive more than the given ratio of any figure/design in orders of up to the number of figures p/case in a series, though this still does not guarantee you will receive no duplicates at all eventually- but it definitely helps minimise the chances!

*What is a 'chase' figure?
Chase figures are generally figures with a listed ratio of ?/??, which means there are an unknown number of this design per display case, or the figure may be shown as a silhouette and therefore be an unknown design/colourway.
...There could be an average of 1 or 2 of these figures in every case, or only 1 in every 4 or more cases!
Any other figures in a series that have a ratio of less than 1 per case, or any 'secret' figures from a series (that are not pictured on the blind boxes at all) are also commonly referred to by some collectors as chase figures, usually being rarer figures.

*What are 'identified/open' boxes from a blind-boxed series?
These are blind boxed figures that have been opened for identification for those that would prefer to know exactly which figures they are getting, as well as to provide an oppotunity for customers who have ordered cases to get any rarer figures that weren't contained in their case(s).
Open box prices are set to encourage blind box orders, as well as keep things fair for those customers who enjoy the mystery aspect of blind boxed series- some of whom will inevitably get the higher priced/rarer figures in orders of blind boxes.

...Hopefully this has answered any questions or queries you may have about blind boxes / blind boxed series and how blind boxes for orders are selected, but if you need any clarification or still have any questions about anything, just email!
